Thank you for taking the time to look at information about our Christmas Appeal.
We are a small Christian Charity that is committed to pioneering the good news about Jesus to people and into places where the gospel has never been heard.
Singer, Johnny Mathis once sang that the world is waiting.....
....waiting for one child,
black, white, yellow, no-one knows.
But, a child that will grow up and turn tears to laughter,
hate to love, war to peace and everyone to everyone’s neighbour
and misery and suffering will be words to be forgotten.
We celebrate this Christmas the birth of Jesus. The sad news, is that the world is still waiting to hear about him.
Accepting that the world has changed and realising that we need new models to engage with those around us, we have been working to create resources and initiatives that will stimulate conversations about the big and not-so-big questions of life.
Building on the success of Puzzling Questions and Table Talk we want to develop the following projects. To do this we need your help.
Table Talk
Table Talk is a conversational game that is played in numerous settings. We want to create several new packs (movies, weddings, justice, 3rd agers, business, women and sport), release an Android version of the App to go with the IOS version already available and add european languages.
The Happiness Lab
Happiness is the holy grail of contemporary culture. With a belief that happiness comes from living well and that you live well when you realise that you are a spiritual person in a material age, we believe that the happiness lab will enable us to engage in conversations about spirituality and ultimately Jesus.
As part of this new Happiness Lab, we will be creating The Happiness course for churches to run. We will also be working on classes for schools, a seminar for the workplace, workshops for FE colleges and a programme for the local health club.
The Big Conversation
Many churches are wanting to know how they can serve their community. The Big Conversation creates space for communities to talk together about the issues that affect them and cause them to flourish. The potential of this initiative is enormous. We want to employ someone for one day a week to head up this work.
Can you help us this Christmas to take the gospel to those who are still to hear about Jesus?
Here are several ways that you might be able to help us this Christmas and into 2015.
✴ Adopt our Christmas appeal as a church - we can send you further information and gift aided envelopes.
✴ Organise a fundraising event for one of the initiatives outlined above. Again, we can send you specific information.
✴ Make a personal gift to our Christmas appeal.
✴ Become a monthly giver. In regularly contributing to the work of the charity we will be
able to plan future developments.
✴ Pray for us and the work that we do.
This Christmas we need to raise a staggering £70,000 to create these resources and so pioneer the gospel. Please consider helping us.
