App developer (FT or PT, volunteer or internship)
An app developer is required to take the lead in developing iOS and Android based apps to support existing and new products. It is likely that the successful applicant will be educated to degree level and have a good understanding of the importance of design and user interface in this arena. A researcher is required to support the development and implementation of existing and new products. Evangelism Ideas officer (PT (1 or 2 days per week), graduate internship or volunteer)
A creative, IT literate and details-focused intern or volunteer is required to maintain and further develop our Evangelism Ideas website. Evangelism Ideas is one of a number of initiatives that sit within the Ugly Duckling portfolio. It is a service that is offered free to churches and faith-based organisations intended to support them with suggestions, resources and contacts that will add a spark to their evangelistic work. A performing arts director is required to translate the potential of our products and resources into a performance genre with the aim of stimulating interest in our products and communicating the key ideas, attitudes and beliefs that underpin them. The role requires a creative individual with experience in directing and performing in various genres and who will quickly understand how such an approach will dovetail with our work and aims. Generosity Fund manager (FT/PT, volunteer or intern)
We are looking to recruit a volunteer (or intern) with the skills necessary to project manage and develop our Generosity Fund. The Generosity Fund was established to raise money that could be given to the poor and marginalized in society both in the UK and other countries across the world. This role would suit someone who has the communication and organisation skill to promote this aspect of our work as well as administer all aspects of the fund. We require a project manager who will guide and support the development of our ever-increasing range of products and initiatives and enable the rest of the team to focus on other areas of our work. It is essential that you are someone who enjoys working in a lively and dynamic environment with a team of committed staff. The ability to focus on detail and ensure completion as well as take an overview of the project(s) will be one of your key skills. IT support (volunteer/ intern)
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who in interested in solving the range of IT related issues that crop up from time to time in an office environment. We are Apple based so some experience of the Mac interface and way of doing things would be an advantage. We envisage that this role could be fulfilled by an ‘on-call’ arrangement, a part-time commitment or (in the case of an intern) a full-time position that combines a number of roles. We are looking for support from someone who is able to help us raise funds to support the important work that our charity is doing. This is likely to be by identifying and pursuing opportunities for us to benefit from funds that might be available from grants and trusts. You’ll need to be prepared to be flexible and turn your hand to whatever is needed at a particular time so that others are supported to do the roles that they need to do as part of the organisation.
